HCSO celebrates promotions

Last week, team Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) celebrated individuals who have earned higher ranks.

Among those promoted were Chief Deputy Joseph Maurer and Colonel Michael Hannaford.

“With these promotions, we have become stronger and better,” Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister said. “As we move forward as an agency and a law enforcement family, I am confident the right leaders are in place to make Hillsborough County an even greater and safer community than it already is.”

Deputy promotions typically include not just a change in rank, but an increase in pay and responsibility, such as supervisory roles over others.
