Officials broke ground on SkyWay Lofts II in St. Petersburg last week, marking a significant step toward affordable housing development.
Located in the SkyWay Marina District, SkyWay Lofts II will add 66 affordable units to the existing property, culminating in 131 total units. The property will offer energy-efficient apartments, feature amenities like a fitness center and outdoor play area and cater to families earning up to 80% of the Area Median Income.
The project underscores a community-focused approach – featuring collaboration between Blue Sky Communities, local government and financial institutions – to address the growing need for affordable housing in the area.
