Jackie Toledo requests $500K for human trafficking program

by The 100 Companies

Rep. Jackie Toledo is requesting $500,000 for the NO MORE Foundation’s Human Trafficking Capacity Expansion in the Tampa Bay Area.

The organization plans to add capacity to its transition program to serve more victims, with the goal of removing Tampa Bay from the list of top destinations for human trafficking and to help victims recover from their experiences.

The request (HB 2339) would draw funds from the Department of Legal Affairs and office of the Attorney General.

Metz Husband & Daughton lobbyist Andrew Palmer is lobbying on behalf of the organization, which received a $250,000 appropriation in the current fiscal year budget.
