Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister celebrated Falkenburg Road Jail’s largest-ever vocational program graduation.
The graduation included a man recently released from jail who returned to receive his Automotive Program certificate, highlighting the power of second chances.
“This graduation goes beyond ceremony; it showcases the transformative potential of second opportunities,” Chronister said. “At HCSO, we’re committed to empowering individuals to rebuild their lives. Through education and training, we’re not just rehabilitating; we’re safeguarding our community.”
The program provides opportunities for those serving jail sentences to learn trades, such as welding and carpentry, and to operate heavy machinery or basic automotive services.
