Visitors to the Tampa Museum of Art can now view the largest proportion of the museum’s permanent collection of ancient Greek and Roman antiquities ever on display at one time, thanks to additional gallery spaces that were added during the museum’s Centennial Renovation in 2023.
The Tampa Museum of Art’s 1986 acquisition from the collection of Joseph Veach Noble became the cornerstone of the museum’s permanent collection of antiquities, which has grown to about 875 objects.
Fundraising is ongoing for the next phase of the Centennial Campaign, consisting of a 51,000-square-foot expansion of the museum’s footprint and accompanying 72,000-square-foot site redevelopment.
