The Orlando Health team, Polk County officials and community members marked a milestone with a topping out ceremony at the Orlando Health Lakeland Highlands Hospital site near Polk County Parkway and Lakeland Highlands Road.
The ceremony featured the signing of the final beam, which was then lifted into place, symbolizing the end of vertical construction on the 7-story facility set to open in the Summer of 2026.
“This is a special day as we move closer to delivering accessible, high-quality healthcare to Polk County,” Hospital President Carlos Carrasco said.
The hospital will have 302 beds and can expand to 360 beds.
