Lightning dismantle Philadelphia 7-1 as road trip continues

It would have been understandable if the Tampa Bay Lightning were leg-weary when they faced Philadelphia on Sunday on the second night of back-to-back games. However, the Bolts looked energized as they routed the Flyers 7-1, stretching their winning streak to three games.

“You need your goalie to make those saves until we get our legs,” Head Coach Jon Cooper said.

Included in the onslaught was the first career goal for rookie Boris Katchouk.

The previous night the Lightning beat Boston 3-2.

The road trip continues this week with games at Montreal, Toronto and Ottawa, before the Bolts return home.
