The Florida Board of Governors has unanimously confirmed Devin Stephenson as the next President of Florida Polytechnic University.
The University selected Stephenson at its Board of Trustees meeting April 15 after a presidential search narrowed the field to five highly qualified finalists.
Stephenson has more than 15 years of experience in higher education leadership, including as current President of Northwest Florida State College, a role he’s had for seven years, and in other executive administrative roles at colleges in Alabama, Missouri and Kentucky.
He will replace Randy K. Avent, who is stepping down at the end of this academic year.
