I normally love to see a list ranking the Tampa Bay region at the top. But a new report isn’t a reason to rejoice: Tampa ranked third among 30 metro areas for workers who don’t use time off.
This hit close to home: I’m guilty of not taking vacation time and often not unplugging when I’m away from the office. Once, I checked a job candidate’s references while sightseeing on the National Mall.
But I’m working on it, and I’ve found that pre-planning and communication with staff and clients helps me do better at unplugging and enjoying time off.
