Florida among top 3 states for minority-owned small businesses

With 6,116 minority-owned business, Florida tops the nation in the number of diverse enterprises.

In a recent survey of 500 minority business owners, Clarify Capital interviewed entrepreneurs about their experiences.

Florida ranked as the third best state for minority-owned businesses, after Hawaii (No. 1) and Texas (No. 2). Additionally, Florida ranked sixth for the number of minority businesses generating over $1 million in revenue.

While opportunities are plentiful for entrepreneurs, the study found that two in three minority business owners faced more challenges than white counterparts and more than half of minority entrepreneurs (54%) were unaware of funding sources to grow.
