Florida Polytechnic University President Randy Avent will deliver the address for the school’s 2024 graduation commencement. Avent was appointed president in June 2014, two months before the school opened its doors.
The school is celebrating its 10th anniversary, and Avent is stepping down from his role at the end of the Spring semester.
“I feel very privileged to be part of establishing this wonderful university and working alongside an outstanding team of professionals to shape and grow Florida Poly into a well-respected provider of engineering education,” Avent said.
Avent will next take on Fulbright-funded research at the University of Barcelona.
