The Tampa Bay Bucs are hiring veteran NFL defensive assistant coach George Edwards as the team’s new outside linebackers coach, according to the Tampa Bay Times.
They’re also adding Dallas Cowboys running backs coach Skip Peete, according to the NFL Network’s Jane Slater, though she didn’t say in what capacity.
Edwards previously interviewed for head coach in 2019. He’ll replace Bob Sanders, one of three coaches who retired after the 2022 season. Edwards has worked with six NFL teams, including the last three seasons with the Cowboys. He served under Steve Spurrier when the Gators secured its first SEC title in 1991.
