Bucs look to improve against Jets on Saturday

by The 100 Companies

Even though many of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers starters didn’t play in the preseason opener, the offense has work to do.

Baker Mayfield started in Saturday’s loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers but directed only one scoring drive in his four series. Mayfield was efficient, completing eight of nine passes for 99 yards, but was sacked three times.

Another big key? Penalties. With Mayfield on the field, Tampa Bay’s offense committed five penalties in a quarter and a half. That’s not winning football.

The Bucs will want to be more productive with the starters on Saturday against the New York Jets.
