The Gasparilla Music Festival, held in downtown Tampa March 9-10, offers great music from over 40 acts, including The Avett Brothers and Gary Clark Jr.
But it’s more than a good time. Gasparilla Music Foundation organizes the festival, and the proceeds provide music education scholarships to students and instruments to local schools and music programs. Its Recycled Tunes program has provided more than 400 free musical instruments to local students since 2013.
One- and two-day tickets are available, starting at $30. Local restaurants like Big Ray’s Fish Camp, Ichicoro and Anise Global Gastrobar will have food for purchase.
