The Florida Orchestra Takes on Dalí

by

Inspired by the work of Salvador Dalí, the Florida Orchestra will perform a surreal concert led by Music Director Michael Francis.

“The Dalí Experience” will feature Spanish guitarist Cañizares performing Rodrigo’s “Concierto de Aranjuez,” Falla’s “The Three Cornered Hat Ballet” with dancers from the University of South Florida, Ravel’s “La Valse” and Wagner’s Prelude and Liebestod from “Tristan and Isolde.” Images of Dalí works will accompany the performances.

Three shows will take place: March 3 at the Straz Center in Tampa, March 4 at the Mahaffey Theater in St. Petersburg and March 5 at Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater.
