Many of you may be rolling your eyes, but here’s the thing: Business Insider recently reported that over one in four active users between the ages of 18 and 29 use Facebook Marketplace. For 20-somethings, Marketplace (also known as “the internet’s garage sale”) is where the deals are.
Other ways that Meta hopes to win back younger users is by focusing on more relevant content and more TikTok-like reels.
Meta says Facebook users spend 60% of their time on the platform watching videos. So, while Facebook may never be considered cool for younger generations, it may prove to be useful.
