Tampa residents and visitors will again be able to celebrate Independence Day with Boom By the Bay, the annual Fourth of July event established by Tampa Mayor Jane Castor after taking office.
The event features family-friendly activities, live entertainment, an apple pie tasting, pickleball tournament and, of course, fireworks.
The free event is open to the public and sponsored by TECO in partnership with the city of Tampa, the Tampa Downtown Partnership, Armature Works, Sparkman Wharf and Friends of the Riverwalk.
Festivities begin at 4 p.m., with the pickleball tournament starting at 2. Fireworks go off at dusk, weather permitting.
