Heading into July 4 and season half-way point, Tampa Bay Rays are split between wins and losses

Just past the halfway point of the season, the Tampa Bay Rays are still trying to find their stride.

Tampa Bay entered this week’s series against Kansas City having won eight of 11 games, their best streak of the season. On Thursday, the Rays celebrate Independence Day not too far from Independence, Missouri as they conclude a three-game series against the Royals (8:10 p.m., Bally Sports Sun).

Thursday marks the end of the second series of the season between the two teams. The Rays took two of three from the Royals at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg in May.
