Hidden history at Metro 510

by
Metro 510

At the height of their influence, Martin Luther King Jr., Thurgood Marshall and Bill Clinton have all spoken at the pulpit of downtown Tampa’s St. Paul African Methodist Episcopal Church. Built in 1914, the church served as Tampa’s mecca for civil rights and faith.

After falling into disrepair, St. Paul AME was purchased and expanded by Sage Partners, LLC in 2011. The church transformed into Metro 510, an affordable-housing community that continues the positive legacy of its past.

Metro 510 offers 120 apartments and a community center for the workforce at a fraction of the cost of nearby housing.
