Bucs face Tuesday deadline to reduce roster

by The 100 Companies

This Tuesday is the deadline for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to reduce the roster to 53 players. They currently have 80 players.

When that is done, the Bucs’ sole focus will be to get ready for the regular season to begin on Thursday, Sept. 9, at home against the Dallas Cowboys. That game will be nationally televised by NBC.

By then, the Bucs hope to have defensive lineman Ndamukong Suh and kicker Ryan Succop back from the reserve/COVID-19 list after both tested positive for the virus.

Both players missed the Bucs’ 23-16 victory Saturday at Houston to close the preseason.
