Hurricanes approaching: are you prepared?

With at least 20 named storms already, we are currently in the more active half of hurricane season.

The Personal Insurance Federation of Florida encourages homeowners to be prepared. In addition to checklist items like an emergency supply kit and evacuation plan, Floridians should also review their insurance policies and print and protect important documents.

Take a quick video of your property and its contents in case you need to file a claim later. And get familiar with the insurance claim process to help avoid problems or even scams.
