Winner and loser of the week in Tampa Bay: St. Pete’s livability score rocks, but Pinellas education faces drama

by The 100 Companies

The city of St. Petersburg was named among the 100 best places to live in the U.S. by Livability.com, with rankings showing high marks for the economy, local amenities and housing.

St. Pete’s access to parks, recreation, beautiful outdoor spaces, bars and restaurants helped buoy its standing and rank it the top livable city in Florida.

But Pinellas County education is facing drama, with the teacher’s union filing a grievance against Moms for Liberty-affiliated school board members, accusing them of harassing a teacher they say is indoctrinating children.

They are asking for an apology and, if appropriate, sanctions.
