Ron DeSantis appoints J. Logan Murphy, Christopher Brown, Matthew Felix to the bench in Tampa Bay

Gov. Ron DeSantis, as part of seven judicial appointments, has named three lawyers to judgeships in the Tampa Bay area.

J. Logan Murphy has been appointed to serve as judge in the Thirteenth Judicial Court, an elevation from his current post as a County Court judge. Prior to serving as a county judge, Murphy was a shareholder at Hill Ward Henderson.

Christopher Brown, senior legal counsel for the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, has been named to the Hillsborough County Court.

Matthew Felix, a partner with the law firm Felix, Felix & Baseman, has also been appointed to the Hillsborough County Court.
