U.S. Reps. Jared Moskowitz of Parkland and Darren Soto of Kissimmee are among 26 Democratic incumbents whose seats the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) is targeting for 2026 flips.
Fort Lauderdale Republican George Moraitis, a former state Representative, announced he’s running to supplant Moskowitz. Republicans Raven Harrison and Darlene Swaffar have also filed.
Republican Stuart Farber, an Orlando doctor, is challenging Soto.
The NRCC has taken aim before at Moskowitz and Soto, who won re-election in November with 53% and 55% of the vote, respectively.
This cycle marks the first time that Republicans are going after Moskowitz as an incumbent.
