WUSF launches ‘Your Florida’ to expand state government coverage

Just in time for the 2025 Legislative Session, WUSF is launching “Your Florida,” a newsroom team focused on state government and its impact on Floridians.

Led by Stephanie Colombini, the team includes Douglas Soule in Tallahassee and Meghan Bowman traveling the state. Funded by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, “Your Florida” will report from the Capitol and gather public feedback.

The goal is to increase transparency, representation – especially in rural areas – and public engagement. Content will be shared across multiple platforms and WUSF partner outlets to inform and empower residents with insight into Florida’s legislative process, governance and policymaking decisions.
