No tariffs here: Penguins waddle through the Capitol to raise awareness for funding needs

As the rest of the world gets bombarded with memes about tariffed penguins on remote islands near Antarctica, Florida lawmakers recently got bombarded with a cuteness overload courtesy of some penguins.

Specifically, beloved African penguins from the Florida Aquarium in Tampa visited Tallahassee, where they displayed their little penguin waddles through the Capitol.

While there were no doubt plenty of selfies with the tuxedoed flightless birds that are critically endangered, the visit had a more important message: the need for funding to enhance storm and flood protection at the Aquarium’s campus.

Penguins Archi, Enzi, Nuri and Dassen carried the message.
