A new 9/11 memorial will be unveiled in St. Petersburg this Saturday, on the 20th anniversary of the terrorist attacks.

The memorial, called Rise St. Pete, will be located on the 22nd Street Corridor in the Warehouse Arts District. A nine-foot-tall, 4,000-pound steel beam will be the memorial’s centerpiece.

Behind the beam, which was the last one removed from the World Trade Center, will be a 30-foot copper phoenix wing and a half-moon wall covered in hundreds of hand-painted tiles.

The piece is designed to honor 9/11 community heroes and first responders.

The unveiling will be at 6 p.m.
