Under new CEO Archie Collins, Tampa Bay residents can expect to see Tampa Electric double down on its commitment to a cleaner, greener energy future in Florida.
Tampa Electric has already reduced its consumption of coal by 95% and cut GHG emissions by 50%.
“We currently have on our system 655 MW of … solar,” Collins said during a recent interview with the Tampa Bay Times. “That’s enough … to power 100k homes. Our goal is within two years that will be doubled.”
Collins gave credit to employees, saying “It is a privilege to be the president and CEO of this company.”
