Rookie left-hander Shane McClanahan (10-6, 3.43 ERA) starts for the Rays.
Game 2 is Friday at 7 p.m. before shifting to Boston on Sunday at 4 p.m. If necessary, Game 4 is Monday in Boston. No time is set.
If necessary, Game 5 will be at the Trop next Wednesday.
