by The 100 Companies

The University of Tampa men’s soccer team served notice of how good it can be by beating the University of South Florida Bulls 1-0 in the 42nd Annual Rowdies Cup exhibition game.

USF leads the series 22-10-3. The Bulls had previously won four straight games over the Spartans.

Junior forward Amgad Salah of UT scored in the 78th  minute to provide all the offense the Spartans needed.

They return to the pitch on Sept. 3 with their home-opener against the University of West Florida.

USF, 1-1-1 after three exhibition games, opens the regular season Aug. 26 at home against Jacksonville.
