by The 100 Companies

St. Petersburg City Council launched a new committee focusing on jobs and the economy this year, with the Economic and Workforce Development Committee meeting for the first time last week.

City Council member Ed Montanari will chair the committee alongside Vice Chair Deborah Figgs-Sanders.

Brandi Gabbard and Lisset Hanewicz will round out the newly formed committee.

All eight members of City Council ranked the new committee as a high priority, according to the Tampa Bay Times, making it the most sought after this year.

Its mission will be to recommend and review policies to promote upward mobility and job growth.
