Increasing diversity in architecture

by
Apple Store Manhattan

Architecture, like many professional fields, has a ways to go with diversity: Women represent only 24 percent of the industry, yet they have designed such landmark buildings as One World Trade Center.

The next Preserve the ‘Burg event features two female architects who will share their vision on how to increase diversity in the industry.

Hear from Rosa Sheng, designer of the Apple Store’s iconic glass look, and Lisa Wannemacher, a local architect who has worked on projects such as the James Museum and Cassis American Brasserie.

The free event is on Jan. 29 from 6 to 8 p.m.
