Uber offers pre-scheduled rides for Fourth of July to secure a trip and avoid the surge

With an expected increase in demand for Uber rides this Fourth of July, the rideshare giant is offering users the chance to book trips in advance through Uber Reserve, giving riders the opportunity to secure a ride and avoid surge pricing that may occur if demand warrants.

Uber Reserve, available online and through the app, allows users to book rides up to 90 days ahead. Simply enter the date and time of the desired ride, add a pick-up point and destination and you’re good to go.

Users can cancel at no charge up to one hour before the scheduled pick-up.
