The 2022 Valspar Championship, Tampa Bay’s PGA TOUR event, raised $1,750,364 for the tournament’s charitable initiatives.

The tournament’s sponsoring organization, Copperhead Charities, has now generated about $48.7 million for charity since 1977 through its sponsorship of professional golf tournaments in the Tampa Bay area.

“We are proud of raising this amount, up 7% from last year, while we also provided an outstanding tournament with increased amenities for our fans,” said Ronde Barber, General Chair of Copperhead Charities.

Nearly 70 area charities will benefit from the 2022 tournament, including Tampa General Hospital, Habitat for Humanity, as well as St. Petersburg College Foundation.
