Terry Tomalin honored at Boyd Hill

by The 100 Companies

The late Tampa Bay Times writer and avid outdoorsman Terry Tomalin will be honored July 3 with a campground at Boyd Hill Nature Preserve in South St. Petersburg named after him.

Tomalin, who wrote for the Times for 25 years and authored the book Everyday Adventures, passed away suddenly in 2016, leaving behind his wife, Deputy St. Pete Mayor Kanika Tomalin, and two children. He also left behind a cult following of St. Pete readers, prompting bumper stickers after his death announcing, “Terry would go.”

Tomalin was a staunch proponent for creating family-friendly activities anyone could enjoy, regardless of income.
