“Woo-hoo!” or, “Wepa!” as someone in the Puerto Rican community might say, there’s a new restaurant in St. Petersburg’s Warehouse Arts District. Owner Jean Totti named his first restaurant “Wepa” after this word of jubilation from his homeland of Puerto Rico.
Located at 2149 3rd Ave. S, Wepa offers a place to eat for art aficionados, shoppers from the Brocante vintage market and fans of 3 Daughters Brewing.
Wepa offers authentic Puerto Rican fare with carne frita, mofongo, paella, and yuca fries as well as beer and wine. It’s open daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
