Move over strawberries: It’s blueberry time

The annual Tampa Bay Blueberry Festival returns to the Keel Farms/Keel & Curley Winery property in Plant City the weekends of April 6-7 and 13-14. Joe Keel started the winery in 2003 to make use of end-of-crop blueberries.

Some highlights:

– The winery’s signature wines for the festival are sweet, semi-dry and dry.

– Don’t miss the blueberry wheat beer from Two Henrys Brewing.

– Alessi Bakery created blueberry bread using Keel’s berries.

– Stop by the “you-pick” field so you can make your own treats.

Admission is free; hours are 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
