Florida Poly launches Parent Network to help families contribute to enhanced learning

by The 100 Companies

Florida Polytechnic University has launched the Parent Network, a program that allows family members to contribute financially to students attending the STEM university in Lakeland beyond tuition costs.

The program allows parents and other family members to donate to a fund, which students can tap through grant application to pay for a variety of things, from student organizations and competitions to outside activities that enhance student learning.

The program launched with an initial $15,000 raised through a “survival kit” campaign providing snacks to students during finals weeks.

Parents unable to contribute financially can instead provide volunteer services, if they choose.
