The Hillsborough County Children’s Board of Directors has approved $1 million in one-time emergency funding to support community recovery efforts following devastation from Hurricanes Helene and Milton, which impacted the Tampa Bay area within two weeks in late September and early October.
The funding will go to nonprofit agencies that address needs in the community that align with the Children’s Board mission, including helping children and families recover from the storms.
The funds are intended to expedite aid where it is needed most. Nonprofit agencies in need of funding should contact the Children’s Board to inquire about eligibility for funding.
