Photography exhibit honors Dr. King

by

2018 is a big year, as it marks the 50th anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s assassination. Since April 1, the Pink Palace Museum in Memphis, Tennessee has been showing an exhibit honoring the late civil rights leader.

The “Remembering the Dream” exhibit centers around the artwork of Ernest Withers and her “I Am a Man” portfolio of photographs. The 10 photos tell the chronological story of the Civil Rights Movement, with interpretive panels to accompany them.

The exhibit runs up until Jan. 27, 2019, so you’ll have plenty of time to plan a weekend trip to Tennessee.
