Looking for a way to unwind? ASMR (autonomous sensory meridian response) videos are sweeping the internet, offering an unexpected pleasant, tingly sensation to viewers.
In many ways, it is the millennial version of those old CDs with relaxing rainforest sounds. The phenomenon was highlighted on an episode of NPR’s “This American Life” last year. It is also popularly associated with the voice of painter Bob Ross.
Think with Google, which monitors content trends on the internet, reports that ASMR searches peak between 10 p.m. and 11 p.m., when most people are preparing to go to sleep. Test your response to ASMR here.
