Tampa General Hospital, USF partner to expand access to behavioral health services

The Florida Legislature designated Tampa General Hospital (TGH) in partnership with the University of South Florida (USF) as one of the state’s first behavioral health teaching hospitals.

House Speaker Paul Renner, Sens. Jim Boyd and Darryl Rouson, Tampa Mayor Jane Castor and other community leaders recently joined TGH CEO John Couris and USF President Rhea Law to celebrate the work of TGH and USF to expand access to behavioral health services and also grow our state’s behavioral health workforce.

Construction on the new TGH Behavioral Health Hospital is well underway, and the state-of-the-art hospital will open in 2025. Read more here.
