Plant-based ‘meats’ make going vegan easier

by

People decide to stop eating meat for many reasons, whether motivated by health and diet, or concerns about the environment or animals. Products like Beyond Meat can make the transition easier for people giving up meat for the first time.

Beyond Meat’s plant-based “burgers” and “beef crumbles” resemble beef but instead consist of pea protein, beets to provide the red “beefy” color and ingredients like coconut oil and potato starch to mimic the juiciness of a traditional burger.

Beyond Meat products are sold in major grocery stores like Publix and at mainstream restaurants like St. Pete’s Three Birds Tavern.
