Tampa Electric (TECO) is donating $250,000 from shareholder funds for Hurricane Helene recovery efforts. Power has been restored to all TECO customers, but the company understands the needs of the community go beyond electricity.
TECO has pledged $100,000 to Metropolitan Ministries for emergency supplies, $100,000 to United Way Suncoast to support volunteer mobilization and community partnerships and $50,000 to Feeding Tampa Bay for food and hygiene support.
TECO hopes its gift will help bridge the gap between despair and hope, while reinforcing community resilience and ensuring no one navigates this difficult journey alone.
The company will continue helping where needed.
