Tampa Bay Times parent the Poynter Institute will honor “the free press, democracy and the distinguished career of Lesley Stahl” at a virtual fundraiser Nov. 10 at 7 p.m.
A VIP reception is scheduled for 6:30.
Stahl is an award-winning broadcast journalist on 60 Minutes and CBS News. She’s receiving the educational non-profit organization’s Poynter Medal for Lifetime Achievement in Journalism. Previous recipients include Chris Wallace, Katie Couric and Lester Holt, among others.
The event will feature storytelling, celebrity journalist cameos, rare performances and glimpses into award-winning newsrooms.
Tickets are $150 for general admission and $350 for VIP access.
