Pasco County Tax Collector Mike Fasano has announced the office has raised $6,000 for CARES Pet Project in May.
CARES is a Pasco County-based organization that provides services to seniors so they can stay in their homes and retain independence. The Pet Project was created to help feed and support the animals who accompany seniors in the program.
The funds were raised by tax collector staff across the county’s five offices.
“Supporting the CARES ‘Pet Project’ continues to be a wonderful opportunity for our office to help those seniors whose pets are their primary companion,” Fasano said in a statement.
