Seattle-based Cultural Space Agency Executive Director Matthew Richter spoke in Tampa Friday at the weekly Cafe Con Tampa, now held at Willa’s Restaurant in North Hyde Park.
Cultural Space Agency is a Seattle Public Development Authority that seeks to secure long-term affordable commercial cultural space, build community wealth through direct investment in real property, create cultural real estate ownership opportunities and boost communities of color, all through cultural real estate opportunities.
The organizations centers on the concept that art spaces make neighborhoods more valuable.
Richter spoke on how cultural spaces can survive in spite of their own success.
