We get a lot of resumes at B2 Communications. Job seekers often get creative to try to make their resumes stand out. Other people inadvertently make their resumes stand out for the wrong reasons.
Four tips to make sure your resume gets attention:
– Exercise tight writing. Resumes for people with less than a decade of experience shouldn’t be longer than one page.
– Focus on your most recent experience. Recruiters are most interested in what you’re doing now.
– Don’t talk about your job responsibilities. Instead, quantify your achievements.
– Include a link. Provide more information on your LinkedIn profile or online portfolio.
