Rowdies back at work, down FIU in preseason game

The Tampa Bay Rowdies defeated Florida International University 3-1 at Al Lang Stadium in their first exhibition contest of the season. Veteran Lucky Mkosana had the Rowdies’ first goal and newcomers Jake LaCava and Kyle Greig also scored.

“Loads of positives to take, in terms of getting the fitness under our belts, some really good individual moments and collective moments,” Head Coach Neill Collins said. “But then, of course, so many things to work on. You wouldn’t expect anything else.”

The regular season begins March 13 at Birmingham Legion FC. The Rowdies continue their preseason Saturday at MLS’ Orlando City.
