USF’s woes continued Saturday when the Bulls were thrashed by East Carolina 48-28 in their American Athletic Conference opener.
The game was moved to Florida Atlantic in Boca Raton when it looked like the Tampa Bay area would take a direct hit from Hurricane Ian. The Pirates gashed the Bulls for 575 total yards, including 465 through the air.
The highlight for USF was a 91-yard TD pass from Gerry Bohanon to Jimmy Horn in the second quarter. Horn finished with eight catches for 180 yards and two touchdowns.
The Bulls, 1-4, are at defending AAC champion Cincinnati on Saturday.
